Mesquite, Texas, September 5, 2008 – IDI, a full-service industrial real estate developer, has closed a five-year, 259,200-square-foot lease with Midwest Air Technologies at Skyline Trade Center. A manufacturer and distributor with a diverse line of products, Midwest Air Technologies is scheduled to move into Building C at IDI’s master-planned business park in November 2008.
Midwest Air Technologies will use Building C for distribution, light manufacturing and warehousing of fencing materials, automotive products, ladders and related accessories. The facility will provide MAT 49,200 more square feet of space than it has its current distribution building in Carrollton.
“In the long run, Midwest Air Technologies felt this would be a good location for its operations,” said John Leinbaugh, vice president of leasing in IDI’s Dallas office. “The new facility provides direct access to Interstate 635 and the Interstates that connect to markets north and south of Dallas-Fort Worth.”
Pat Haggerty of the Pat Haggerty Company represented Midwest Air Technologies in the deal, and John Leinbaugh represented IDI.
“The design of this building is very well suited to the company’s operations,” said Haggerty. “There are two driveways on the west side of the building – one for employee parking and an outside driveway leading to a staging area where the flatbeds are loaded for delivery. The building’s clear height, which is eight feet higher than the company’s current building, provides much more space for storage.”
Located at 2300 Skyline Drive in Mesquite, Texas, Skyline Building C features 32-foot clear heights, 54-foot wide column space, a building depth of 400 feet, early suppression fast response (ESFR) sprinklers, and ample car and truck parking. A total of 232,800 square feet of space remains available for lease in the facility. In addition, IDI has 262,440 square feet of space available in Skyline Trade Center Building B.
