
IDI Chicago Office Adds First Tenant in Canada
Ancra International Expands with Move into Woodstock Facility
WOODSTOCK, Ontario, May 16, 2012 – IDI, a leading full-service industrial real estate company, welcomed its first tenant in a Canadian facility on April 16 when Ancra International, Ltd. moved into its Commerce Way Business Park located in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada. IDI’s Chicago market office signed the lease with Ancra for 26,004 square feet, almost doubling the company’s current operational space.
“IDI’s facility exceeded our expectations for a distribution center,” said Brian Larocque, managing director for Ancra Canada. “Increasing our space gives us room to continue to expand our business, and we’re very pleased with our decision to move.”
Ancra occupies a portion of Woodstock Building A in Commerce Way Business Park at 520 Beards Lane in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada. Ancra is the first tenant in Woodstock Building A, and marks IDI’s first-ever tenancy in a Canadian business park. The company supplies cargo restraint systems for airlines, trucking and military use and will use the space for product distribution.
“We are thrilled that Ancra has decided to expand operations at Commerce Way Business Park,” said Jeff Smith, vice president of leasing and development for IDI’s Chicago market office. “We look forward to more positive growth in the greater Toronto area in the future.”

IDI’s Commerce Way Business Park features two existing industrial facilities totaling 457,482 square feet. The business park, which was developed in 2007, is located between the Waterloo region and London at the confluence of two of Ontario’s largest thoroughfares, Highway 401 and Highway 403.The development represents IDI’s first venture into a Canadian market.
