Memphis, Tenn., July 16, 2009 – IDI, a full-service industrial real estate company, has closed a seven-year, 96,039-square-foot lease with Bunzl Distribution Midcentral, a division of Bunzl Distribution USA Inc. The company will occupy IDI’s Airways Distribution Center Building C, located in the Memphis MSA, beginning July 31.

Bunzl, a leading supplier of food packaging, disposable supplies, and cleaning and safety products, will consolidate operations from another Memphis facility and a second Paducah, Ky. facility into the single distribution center at Airways.  Bunzl also is leasing 83,107 square feet from IDI at The Landmark in Salt Lake City.

Mark Sonnenberg of Colliers Turley Martin Tucker and Bayard Snowden of Colliers Wilkinson Snowden represented Bunzl in the lease deal.  Tim Moore, vice president of leasing in IDI’s Memphis market office, was the listing agent for the property.

Thanks to a prior relationship with IDI in Salt Lake City, Bunzl and their real estate team knew IDI’s building quality and location was a strong fit for the company’s regional needs,î said Moore, who represented IDI in the lease transaction. He added, ìMemphis is known as ‘America’s Distribution Center’ and this new facility will serve Bunzl well as they look to expand distribution across the Southeast and Midwestern U.S.

Airways Distribution Center features six buildings for a total of 2.5 million square feet.  81,486 square feet remains available for lease in Building C.
