Golf Tournament Will Benefit Three Charities
Atlanta (October 4, 2007) -- IDI will hold a Charity Golf Classic October 30 to benefit children’s health and literacy. Presented by the Corporate and Atlanta regional offices of IDI, the event has already raised more than $90,000 for The Study Hall at Emmaus House, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Hughes Spalding and The Parker Jackson Legacy Lacrosse Cup.
The tournament will be held at the Piedmont Driving Club Golf Course. IDI, a full-service industrial real estate company, is underwriting the cost of the tournament, and 100% of the proceeds raised from the sponsors will be donated to the three charities. The three primary sponsors of the tournament are: Alston & Bird (Gold Sponsor), First American Title (Silver Sponsor) and Peachtree Planning Corp. (Bronze Sponsor).
“Rather than the usual golf outing for customers and friends, we’re proud to host an event in which our customers and friends have the opportunity to help us contribute to these fine organizations whose sole mission is to enrich the lives of children in our local community,” said Jay Mitchell, vice president and regional development officer in IDI’s Atlanta regional office.
Proceeds from the tournament will go to:
The Study Hall at Emmaus House. This school offers year-round academic and enrichment programs to help at-risk children in kindergarten through eighth grade who live in the Peoplestown neighborhood of Atlanta.
Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Hughes Spalding. This organization, based in downtown Atlanta, provides children and their families outreach services, education, treatment and intervention programs.
The Parker Jackson Legacy Lacrosse Cup. This premier high school sporting event brings together local and regional teams.
